Valerie Bertinelli Uses Kim Kardashian Glam Secret For New Look

Valerie Bertinelliis switching things up! She unveiled a fresh new hairstyle that had social media drooling over how youthful she looks.

The TV personality is no stranger to body positivity and self-love. Bertinelli has always been vocal about embracing herself just as she is.

However, Bertinelli recently decided to spice up her look and took a page from one of society’s biggest beauty icons, Kim Kardashian!

Starting the week, Bertinelli shocked her followers with a new look. “New hair who dis?” the celebrity chef joked in her caption on Instagram as she posted a selfie showing her vibrant hairdo.

The picture showed Bertinelli sporting a bold blonde hair color instead of her signature brunette. The hair fell over her shoulders in loose waves, with dark roots visible through a center parting. 

She credited celebrity stylist Chris Appleton, who is popular for styling Kim Kardashian, for the wig. It didn’t take long for fans to camp in the comments, showering praises on the “Hot In Cleveland” actress for how breathtaking she looked.

“Wow, you are gorgeous. I almost didn’t recognize you. The hair color is stunningly beautiful,” one fan gushed. Another wrote, “Gorgeous!! Ma’am, you do not age one bit. Talking awesome genetics!!”

Many believed the new color gave a youthful glow. “Love the hair! Took 10 years off you!!” A user gushed while another raved, “You will always look like a teenager!!!” 

A follower noted that Bertinelli looked great either way, “Wow, very stunning!! You look beautiful with any color of hair. Keep shining like the diamond that you are.” 

Still, not every fan was pleased with the change. “Why the heavy filters tho?” a critic commented, “You don’t need to look like you’re in your 30s. It’s misleading. And aggravating, frankly, even you always talk about age and being proud of your age, etc, etc. Which one is it? Confusing to viewers, really.”

Although Bertinelli is basking in her new youthful glow, she has never shied away from embracing aging and shuts down criticisms from body shamers.

Such was the case when she clapped back at a troll who slammed a mirror selfie she posted last December, wearing a two-piece bikini.

Responding to critics, the celebrity chef clarified that she was uninterested in their opinions, explaining that it had taken her years to reach a place of self-acceptance. 

“It’s not the 20-year-old body that I hated, and it really is a shame that I hated that beautiful body,” Bertinelli reflected, as reported by The Blast.

However, she wouldn’t turn back time. “Even as challenging as it’s been and is, I am grateful for this journey, and I wouldn’t trade this body for my 20-year-old body any day. Ever,” she concluded. 

Still addressing her journey towards self-acceptance, Bertinelli revealed that a part of it was ditching restrictive thinking.

“I don’t deny myself anything anymore,” she stated, explaining that she decided to eat whatever she wanted, when she wanted. 

Another bright side was that she had experienced a change in the things she craved. The actress noted that she now only wanted to eat foods that would provide her body with the necessary nutrition. 

Amid embracing herself, Bertinelli shared a picture without any makeup or filter with her fans on her 65th birthday in April.

As The Blast reported, the “One Day at a Time” alum also included a compilation of unfiltered clips, proudly embracing her appearance and age. 

Fans showered her with sweet wishes and admiration. “Happy 65th Birthday! If we all could bring as much joy to the world as you have to those of us who have watched you evolve. You make the ’60s not look like the end but the most fulfilling,” a user wrote.
