Sydney Sweeney Gets Cozy With Scooter Braun After Ex’s Drama

The actress and her socialite boyfriend have been spotted getting all touchy and lovey-dovey inside a closed park, away from everything and everyone.

Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun fueled the burning flames of romance rumors in September when they attended the lavish wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sànchez as each other’s dates.

The couple spent quality time together at the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park in one of their reserved private igloos. Sweeney and Braun also caught a glimpse of the ice rink where customers enjoy all the skating action.

Insiders close to the venue stated that the Igloos do not typically open till Thursdays, which meant they must have made a special request to spend time at the venue. The couple may also have spent about $254 to $508 on renting out that venue where they stayed, and had a pretty great time.

Page Six confirmed that Sweeney and her beau also had a feast at the venue, indulging in pretzels, chicken fingers, and stepping it down with hot chocolate in the spirit of the festive season.

Although she appeared to have moved on from Jonathan Davino, the actress was spotted hiding out in his car while engaging in a heated argument with him.

Sweeney had enjoyed a day out last weekend with her friends at Giorgio Baldi, Santa Monica, where they all watched the game between the Dodgers and Blue Jays.

However, something strange happened as she left the venue in an SUV, but switched into another car with her ex behind the wheel. As noted by The Blast, Sweeney tried her best to avoid being captured by the press as they drove off.

The reunion was, unfortunately, as brief as it could get because the actress was overhead shouting at him to leave her alone while reiterating that she does not believe his words.

Sources close to the estranged couple affirmed that Sweeney was frustrated with Davino and is still hurt over the whole failed engagement. Davino also knows how to push her buttons, so some things he might have said definitely made Sweeney upset, hence her outburst.

The TV personality was over the moon when she got engaged to Davino in 2022, after a four-year-long romance. The actress was eager to start a family with her fiancé and loved the idea of becoming a young mother.

Fast forward to this earlier this year, Sweeney raised the alarm of a problem in their paradise by subtly deleting a picture of her and Davino kissing from her Instagram page. Weeks later, it became official that the couple had parted ways.

As established by a source, the painful decision was borne out of Sweeney’s second guesses about settling down with Davino. She reportedly did not feel right about making such a serious commitment in the middle of a boom in her acting career.

“She is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago. This is what she wants to focus on right now,” the source explained.

Despite their split, insiders noted that they still remained good friends and still remain partners for their Fifty-Fifty films production company, which recently packaged and produced her highly acclaimed movie “Christy.”

By 2019, the couple had made peace with their romantic status becoming public and attended a New York Knicks basketball game together. PEOPLE shared that by the end of that year, Sweeney was tilting towards settling down in Chicago, where Davino’s family owned a firm.

Nearly one year later, they got hot and heavy in a PDA-filled getaway at Maui, Hawaii. By 2022, Davino placed a huge rock on it, and things continued to advance smoothly. 

The following year was filled with pleasant sightings and outings from the duo and a serious debunking of romance rumors by Sweeney following her movie with Glen Powell.

She then made an appearance alongside Davino at the 2023 Venice Film Festival. She reacted to the dating rumors involving her and Powell on the set of the “Anyone But You” movie in 2024, stating:

“Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
