Mama June is shaken after her daughter, Alana, was involved in her very first car accident. The 20-year-old was pulling out of the driveway of her Colorado home when a speeding driver slammed into the driver’s side of her vehicle.

In a video posted online, Mama June explained that the young man behind the wheel admitted to going 40 MPH down the road before hitting her daughter. She added that if Alana had pulled out just seconds later, the wreck could have been much worse.

Mama June shared details of the ordeal in a heartfelt Instagram post, telling fans that while Alana was treated at the hospital, she is now back home recovering from her injuries.

“She is banged up a little bit, but other than that, she is OK. First car wreck,” June wrote, noting her daughter had only been on her way to get her hair done before the crash derailed her plans. Despite the accident, Alana insists she is still determined to start her clinicals the next day.

At the time, she admitted the incident had left a mark, but she was ready to move forward. In a candid interview, the younger star said things between her and her mom are now on much better terms.

“We’re pretty good. Like, we’re in a good spot right now,” she explained, adding, “I guess you only live once … you can’t mourn over the same thing forever.” Alana also revealed that Mama June has begun repaying the money, proof that their bond is slowly being rebuilt.

Having worked in television since the age of six, she expected her Coogan account to reflect years of earnings. Instead, she and her sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, found only $33,000, far less than the six-figure balance they anticipated.

The shocking discovery put Mama June in the hot seat. At first, she denied touching Alana’s money but later admitted to taking some of it. She defended her actions, claiming the withdrawals went toward Alana’s upbringing and needs.

In May, The Blast reported that she revealed marriage is definitely part of their future, though not anytime soon. She explained, “Not until after school, probably. Just because it’s so expensive and a wedding is a lot of work.”

She also admitted she has thought about starting a family one day, stating, “I want to have kids eventually. I don’t want to have a lot of kids—I want maybe two, that’s it—but not for a long time.” However, Alana noted her desire to keep her future children out of the spotlight.
