Josh Hall Defends $300k Divorce Settlement With Christina Haack

Fresh off a year-long intense divorce battle with his ex-wife, Christina Haack, Josh Hall is now opening up about his perspective on the split, including his reasons for claiming the $300k settlement.

After being married for three years, the former couple legally filed for separation in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences.

Barely two weeks after the judgment was announced and the settlements processed, Hall has, for the first time, addressed the issue, divulging shocking details.

Despite Haack paying her ex-husband a $300,000 equalization payment, Hall revealed that he also forfeited many things to avoid further conflict.

Hall told Daily Mail that he spent “close to a quarter of a million dollars” during the proceedings, despite Haack contributing $40,000 toward his legal and mediation fees from May.

Per the judgment, Hall waived his right to spousal support, which, according to him, was intentional, provided that the sharing of assets was done evenly. “The reality was, as long as we split things fairly and evenly as we should, there was never going to be a need for it,” Hall said of his reasons.

The real estate agent showed similar resistance in choosing not to fight for their $4.5 million house in Tennessee, and it was eventually awarded to Haack. In his words:

‘I’m not a confrontational person. I’d rather avoid it even though I had a legal right to stay at that place while she stayed at our home [in Newport Beach], and that was agreed upon, I would just rather not fight and argue, and I just go to a rental.”

The entrepreneur concluded that he “voluntarily gave up more to end” the divorce, rather than going to trial, which he says, “She should be thankful [for].”

Hall noted that throughout the proceedings, he refrained from discussing it, but Haack, on the other hand, was more vocal, sharing the details on social media.

Hall blasted the reality star for publicizing their private matters, saying it was improper. “I thought it lacked class, to be honest,” the Nashville-based realtor criticized.

He continued, “Divorce isn’t something for public consumption. I understand that we’re public figures –  I married or- but I thought it was unnecessary.”

During his interview, Hall reflected on his union with the “Christina On the Coast” star, admitting that they had “a great connection.”

He recalled the start of their relationship, saying, “I mean, I had nothing bad to say about our early relationship. We really cared about each other, and we went through a lot of stuff together.”

However, Hall said their relationship began to decline once the negatives started outweighing the positives. “I think I reached my expiration date, and I don’t think she was interested in the kind of relationship she and I had,” Hall disclosed.

Along with the lump-sum payment from Haack, The Blast reported that Hall also left the union with a piece of land in California, a house, and a condo in Tennessee.

Additionally, he received a 2022 luxury Bentley from his ex-wife while keeping four other cars and a motorcycle, including a 1982 DeLorean and a 1947 Dodge.

Before finalizing their split, the estranged pair had an altercation, which was captured in their reality show, “The Flip Off.” At that time, Hall alleged that the confrontation was scripted and didn’t capture his feelings. However, the 42-year-old TV personality dismissed his claims.

Hall responded on Instagram with a message that read, “Manufactured?! Pretty sure no one at HGTV told you to be rude to me…. That was all natural.”
