Heidi Klum may be a supermodel, but on Friday night in Munich, she was all about Bavarian beer, bratwurst, and a little mess. The “America’s Got Talent” judge hosted her first-ever pre-Oktoberfest party, dubbed “HeidiFest,” and ended up getting accidentally soaked during the traditional keg tapping ceremony. Klum took center stage for the classic keg tapping ritual, a staple at Oktoberfest. But instead of a neat pour, the model wound up showering herself in Hofbräuhaus beer. Heidi Klum, ever the good sport, laughed it off as the crowd cheered.

The celebration was a full-on Klum family gathering. Klum was joined by her husband, Tom Kaulitz, her mother, Erna Klum, her brother-in-law, Bill Kaulitz, and all four of her kids, Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou, with ex-husband Seal. Guests embraced the Bavarian theme, dressing in traditional dirndls and lederhosen while enjoying German classics, from hearty food to flowing steins of beer.

The guest list clocked in at about 700 to 1,000 attendees, but “HeidiFest” wasn’t just for those lucky enough to score an invite. The party was broadcast nationwide on ProSieben and streamed on Joyn, letting fans join in on the Oktoberfest-inspired fun from their own homes. Live performances, music, and the authentic Bavarian vibe gave the event all the makings of Germany’s next big annual tradition.

Of course, Klum brought fans along for the ride on social media. On her Instagram Stories, the supermodel posted playful clips from the celebration, including a lighthearted video of her kids, Leni and Henry, lip-syncing to a song while jokingly shaking hands as if they were meeting for the first time.

She also gave followers a peek at her whirlwind time in Germany, sharing snaps from the event itself and even reposting highlights from Drake’s recent concert in Munich, which she attended during her trip.

Perhaps the most buzzworthy moment came in a rare family photo she shared from “HeidiFest.” Klum posed alongside her children and relatives; all dressed in traditional Bavarian attire. Heidi and her daughters stunned in colorful dirndls, the fitted bodice-and-apron dresses synonymous with Oktoberfest, while the men sported lederhosen, vests, and button-up shirts for a picture-perfect group shot.

“HeidiFest” wasn’t just about the keg tapping, though, because the whole evening was a full-on Bavarian experience. Servers in traditional outfits circled the room with massive platters of giant pretzels, while others expertly balanced rows of frothy beer steins in both hands.

The dinner menu featured hearty German classics, from crispy schnitzel to juicy sausages, all served with sides of spaetzle and mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. Adding to the festive vibe, pride flags were scattered across tables alongside napkins printed with a cartoon of Klum herself, smiling in a dirndl, the traditional German dress featuring a snug bodice, apron, and flowing skirt.

For Klum, throwing HeidiFest was about more than just beer and bratwurst. She told guests she wanted to show her American friends how Bavarians really party. “We can get wild,” Klum said with a laugh, per The New York Times. “So I thought: We have to show people.”
