Kate Gosselin Suffers Medical Emergency That Has Her ‘Scared’

Just as Kate Gosselin seemed to find a moment of joy, turmoil followed as she revealed she was facing a medical emergency.

After her rocky split from ex-husband Jon Gosselin, the reality star moved on with a new partner, reportedly her former bodyguard.

However, only hours after subtly showing him off online, amid infidelity accusations from her son Collin Gosselin, Kate gave a shocking health update. 

The “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum took to her TikTok to update fans on her health scare. She posted a picture of her hand hooked up to an IV and a pulse oximeter.

Across the picture, the mom of eight expressed her fear over the emergency. “Please pray for me tonight and tomorrow,” she wrote. “I will be fine, but I’m scared and would appreciate your prayers.”

Gosselin followed it up with a caption that read, “Emergencies don’t care about schedules! Please DON’T worry about me! Please pray instead.” She concluded her message promising her fans a story time on the incident once she recovers. 

The author has always been open about her health challenges, as earlier in September, she revealed the lasting effects she faced after birthing her sextuplets. 

She explained that the weight of her pregnancies compressed her organs, pushing her stomach upward and her bladder downward. Following her C-section, doctors inserted a catheter, but when it was removed, she was unable to urinate and suffered severe pain and nausea, leading to it being replaced.

Gosselin said the pressure had damaged her bladder’s function and elasticity, leaving her reliant on a catheter even after leaving the hospital.

“Ever since then, my bladder has never been right. It has never been right,” the reality TV star shared per PEOPLE Magazine. “I can’t exactly explain it or put my finger on it. But it just is very different after that.”

Hours before Gosselin was hospitalized, she gave her audience a glimpse of her new boyfriend during her TikTok livestream. Per The Blast, Gosselin’s partner briefly appeared off camera when he handed her a latte, prompting her to smile, thank him, and call it “yummy.” 

Though only his hand was visible, fans quickly noticed and flooded the chat with comments. When one viewer remarked, “Hello to the boyfriend,” Gosselin acknowledged the remark, even confirming that he waved back in response.

Another viewer asked if Gosselin and her boyfriend would appear on camera together, to which the 50-year-old replied that while she wouldn’t mind, her beau prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

Gosselin’s debut of her relationship online comes at a very sensitive time for her, as she has been accused by her son Collin of lying about the timeline of her affair with her escort. 

The 21-year-old stood by his allegations and publicly challenged his mom to prove her innocence. “This is my formal invitation to do a lie detector test with my mom, lol. Then we’ll see who’s been lying straight to the public,” Collin called out his mother on his Instagram, according to The Blast.

Collin alleged that Kate’s involvement with Neild began back in 2009, accusing her of cheating on his father and even sharing hotel rooms with her bodyguard during family vacations.
