Ryan Reynolds Recalls Insulting Blake Lively Over A Call From An A-List Star

Ryan Reynolds shared the shocking insult he once hurled at Blake Lively, after he excitedly panicked over a call from an A-list actor.

The “Deadpool” star shared that he and Lively were heading to an important event when he received a call from the legendary actor, whom he had been trying to get to take part in an upcoming documentary.

This comes after Ryan Reynolds finally admitted that he personally leaked “Deadpool” test footage in 2014, which he noted helped the film get the green light from 20th Century Fox.

Reynolds has revealed a seemingly tense exchange he had with his wife, Blake Lively, that left him using a foul-mouthed insult on the actress.

The 48-year-old actor has been on a nationwide promotional tour to bring the upcoming documentary “John Candy: I Like Me” to theaters across the country.

On Thursday, Reynolds sat down for a chat with fans at the State Theatre in New Jersey, revealing how difficult it was to get Bill Murray to participate in the documentary and how his anxiety led to a tense moment with his wife.

Joking that getting Murray to feature in the project could take up its own documentary, Reynolds shared that he got his number from “a friend of a friend of a friend,” adding that the 75-year-old’s voicemail is a “Greek shipping company.”

The actor went further to share that he did all he could to get a hold of Murray, including leaving about “40 messages,” but the actor was evasive.

“Funny, I’m on my way to some gala thing and I rarely go to a fancy tuxedo [event]. I’m there with my wife, and we’re about to walk in, and my phone buzzes, and I look at it. It says Bill Murray and I go, ‘Bill Murray!'” Reynolds told the audience.

Lowering his voice to mimic how he told her about the call, he said the “Gossip Girl” star told him, “We have to go in!”

“I’m like, ‘F-ck you!'” he said, sending the audience into stitches, per the Daily Mail.

Reynolds also shared that, as if getting Murray on the initial call wasn’t hard enough, the “Ghostbusters” star told him he’ll think about it and get back to him after chasing him all through that period.

He admitted that he left “another 40 messages” for Murray as he was so “desperate” at that point because he was “running out of time” to wrap filming.

Seemingly tired of the back and forth, he secured the help of his son to make a final plea to Murray.

“I said, ‘If you say no to a child like that, I don’t know what kind of monster you are,'” Reynolds recalled, adding that Murray called him back like “two seconds later,” after he sent the video message and said to him, “What do you need from me for JC (John Candy)?”

Meanwhile, the “6 Underground” actor has come clean about how he helped bring the film “Deadpool” to life.

When answering a question about cheating, Reynolds admitted that he leaked “Deadpool” Test footage in 2014, which partly contributed to its getting greenlit by producers.

“Yes, I cheated a little, but I think I was onto something that people would be interested in,” Reynolds told moderator Anita Lee at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.
