Robyn & Kody Brown At Impasse On ‘Sister Wife’ Motivation

Just weeks earlier, a preview for the upcoming “Sister Wives” season 20 showed Kody surprising Robyn with news of a woman interested in joining their family.

Now, with three of his four marriages already collapsed, Kody Brown admits his push for a new wife comes down to physical needs, a reasoning that has left him and Robyn on opposite ends.

The pair are not seeing eye to eye as TLC’s “Sister Wives” heads into season 20. The longtime couple hit a wall during a conversation about Kody’s openness to taking on another wife, but for reasons Robyn says are all wrong.

In a preview clip, Kody bluntly admits that at this stage in life, his main drive for a new relationship would be “how good looking she is.” Robyn does not hold back, calling it “the very worst reason” to bring someone else into their marriage.

Kody argues that he would want to “connect” with someone new, but Robyn pushes back, telling him he does not realize how shallow he sounds. PEOPLE shared that Robyn even called him out in a confessional, saying he was “just kind of being a bit of a pig right now.”

Before the latest drama unfolded, sparks were already flying between Kody and Robyn when he mentioned the idea of another woman joining their family.

In the show’s trailer released last month, Kody casually shared that he received “another one of those emails” from a woman hoping to be considered as a sister wife. He even chuckled at the message, but Robyn’s face suggested she did not find the joke funny.

As The Blast highlighted at the time, Kody’s hint about welcoming someone new came only two months after he doubled down on his devotion to Robyn. The star said he was tired of being criticized for prioritizing her, describing their marriage as having a “divine aspect.”

As Kody and Robyn hash out the idea of adding another sister wife, Christine is making it clear she is not on board. The Blast noted that the first wife to leave the polygamous family opened up about her concerns, saying she cannot see how Kody taking a new partner makes sense.

For Christine, the move would contradict his repeated claims that he wants monogamy and undermine the deep bond he has with Robyn, whom he often calls his “soulmate.”

Speaking on “The Sarah Fraser Show,” the mother-of-six admitted, “I do not even know how to wrap my mind around what I have seen that they are even entertaining,” adding she wonders if the whole idea is just for the cameras.

Ultimately, Christine said she hopes Kody and Robyn do not risk what they already have.

Christine Shut The Door On Any Future With Ex-Husband

Even though Christine supports them staying monogamous and opposes the idea of another wife, she has no interest in being part of their circle.

Christine has since moved on with David Woolley and admits she has no desire to ever speak with Kody again, saying flatly, “I don’t want to talk to Kody ever again.”

Her firm stance comes after years of feeling pushed aside in her marriage. Christine previously opened up about how things shifted when Robyn joined the family as Kody’s fourth wife.

She recalled noticing small but telling differences, like Robyn having “better couches, better dishes, and better decorations,” which made her feel like her own role was shrinking.

Over time, those comparisons left Christine feeling like she was nothing more than “a scrap.”
