Blake Lively Lawsuit Twist As Taylor Swift Set To Testify

Taylor Swift is being pulled into one of Hollywood’s ugliest court battles, and it involves her longtime friend Blake Lively.

Newly filed documents reveal that the pop superstar is expected to give sworn evidence in Lively’s bitter fight against actor and director Justin Baldoni.

The move comes just weeks after Swift announced her engagement to Travis Kelce, adding even more drama to an already explosive case. For Lively, this latest twist could change the course of her lawsuit.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni has taken a surprising turn.

According to court filings obtained by the Daily Mail, Swift will be asked to testify under oath in late October, though the date depends on a judge approving a small deadline extension.

“Ms. Lively misleadingly implies the Wayfarer Parties seek a blanket thirty-day extension of the discovery cut-off date,” Baldoni’s lawyer wrote in the document.

“In fact, the Wayfarer Parties requested an agreement solely to take the deposition of Taylor Swift during the week of October 20-25 due to Ms. Swift’s preexisting professional obligations,” they added.

The singer’s role in the case is tied to text messages between her and Lively that Baldoni’s team believes are important to the case.

While Swift has not spoken publicly, reports claim she has avoided Lively’s repeated attempts to reconnect over the past year.

Sources told the outlet that the actress reached out, but Swift ignored her.

Now Baldoni’s lawyers insist her busy schedule left no earlier opportunity, and they want the court to allow her deposition once her album promotion wraps.

Blake Lively is suing the 41-year-old over claims of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment, allegations he has denied.

His attempt to fight back with a defamation and extortion lawsuit was dismissed by a judge earlier this year, weakening his position.

However, the 38-year-old hasn’t slowed down. Recently, her team filed new motions accusing Baldoni’s company, Wayfarer Studios, of trying to damage her reputation through misleading court filings.

The actress asked for heavy penalties, including damages and attorney’s fees, saying Baldoni was retaliating against her for speaking up.

According to her lawyers, the lawsuit from the filmmaker was “baseless from the start” and designed to silence her.

One of the most surprising twists in this case has been the collapse of Lively and Swift’s friendship.

The two were once inseparable, but insiders say the “Cruel Summer” crooner has been ignoring her former friend’s attempts to reach out.

Back in June, reports claimed Lively sent texts, voicemails, and emails, but Taylor never replied.

Meanwhile, Baldoni is facing even more trouble as new allegations against him have come to light.

In a sworn statement filed by Blake Lively’s lawyers, an unnamed person accused the “Jane the Virgin” star of repeated verbal abuse, saying he was banned from set during most of the production.

The person also claimed they asked for Baldoni not to be involved in promoting the project.

According to TMZ, this witness could testify at Lively’s trial.

The filing also mentioned the star’s business partner, Steve Sarowitz, who allegedly made threats about spending millions to “ruin the lives” of Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

At one point, Sarowitz was accused of saying there would be “two dead bodies when I’m done.”
