Hulu dropped the first trailer for the upcoming sports comedy “Chad Powers,” starring Glen Powell as a former quarterback who undergoes a Mrs. Doubtfire-inspired transformation into a college football star to seek redemption after a mistake ruined his career. The logline, per Hulu reads, “Eight years after an unforgivable mistake nukes his promising college football career, hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday tries to resurrect his dreams by disguising himself as Chad Powers – a talented oddball who walks on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish.” The series also stars Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Steve Zahn. Powell also serves as a co-creator and executive producer alongside Michael Waldron. Eli and Peyton Manning are also among the list of EPs on the project. “Chad Powers” premieres on September 30 with two episodes on Hulu. New episodes drop every Tuesday after.
