Kim Kardashian’s Hopes Were High About Her Dad’s Bible Purchase
The mom of four got into vivid details on how her wads of cash still could not secure the coveted piece from O.J.’s estate. The Bible was reportedly gifted to the late felon by Kim’s late dad, Robert Kardashian.
That is not all, the gift also contained a handwritten note from Robert to his friend, whom he also defended during his murder trial for Nicole Simpson’s death.
Kim noted to Ollie Ayling in the episode of “The Kardashians” that she was even willing to pay double $15,000 to purchase the book for herself and Khloé Kardashian.

“I guess I had a little too much faith in humanity for a minute there,” Kim concluded in the conversation. TMZ confirmed that Kim’s conversation in that episode reached the intended recipient, as O.J.’s estate executor, Malcolm LaVergne, registered his displeasure about the mogul’s statement.

What Did The Late O.J. Simpson’s Estate Executor Say?
Malcolm absolutely came out guns blazing as he claimed Kim framed her interaction with the estate in a way that might mean they were being malicious with their decision not to sell it to her. The executor then proceeded to literally reopen Kim’s old wounds about her recent results from the California bar exam.
According to him, “No wonder she can’t pass the bar. By the way, I’ve passed three. First time each. New York, Texas, and Nevada. I will give her credit for being richer than I am. No denying that.”
Malcolm noted that there was a valid reason behind Kim’s failure to clinch the book, and it was simply because the estate was under clear legal instructions to auction off the Bible.

Most importantly, Malcolm noted that the estate was neither allowed to let familiarity nor preferential treatment play a role in who would eventually get to take the Bible home.

Kim Kardashian’s Offer Was Previously Deemed Too Low By Malcolm LaVergne
For Kim, getting her hands on as many items as possible of Robert from the O.J. estate was essential to her and the rest of her family due to the nature of their close friendship and sensitive details that may get leaked.
However, when she approached Malcolm with that sum, he deemed it too small for such a memory. “The amount is why I had no choice, because why would I spend $15,000 of estate money —why would I spend $15,000 in attorney’s fees — to sell it to Kim for $15,000?” Malcolm declared at the time.
He then added a caveat that if the SKIMS founder had approached the estate with a mouth-watering sum of $150k, it would have been an entirely different conversation.
Malcolm then urged Kim to enter a bidding war for the piece online and see if the book might end up with her. The note Robert attached to that Bible in 1994 encouraged Kim to crave a closer glimpse of her father’s pen.
“O.J., this book will help. God loves, and he will speak to you with his words. Read this book every day. God has a definite plan for your life. You are his child, and he will use you again. I love you, and God loves you,” Robert wrote.

The Bible Was Eventually Sold Off For A Bidding Price Five Times Over The Reality Star’s
Kim’s most dreaded day finally came to life as The Blast shared that the Bible was finally sold for $80,000 at auction. Malcolm shared the news and insisted that the buyer’s identity remained largely unknown.
The estate executor also noted that O.J.’s legacy continued to abound despite the controversial nature of his life and what people felt about him. The former NFL star passed away in 2024 at his home in Las Vegas after a battle with prostate cancer.
The Bible was not the only coveted item owned by the felon whose estate made money off; they also closed the deal on other items, bringing their earnings to about $300,000.
They included a personally autographed and framed picture of O.J. and former president Bill Clinton, which sold for $18,000. A replica of the footballer’s 1968 Heisman Trophy also sold off for $42,700 at the auction.

Kim Kardashian Dragged Psychics Who Saw A California Bar Exam Success Ahead Of Her
Well, the Hulu star did not go down without a fight regarding her bar exam failure. Independent noted that while she got ready for her mom, Kris Jenner’s birthday party in a BTS vlog, she took time out to air her thoughts about the psychics and their powers.
“I’m just letting you guys know that all of the f-cking psychics that we have met with, and are obsessed with, are all f-cking full of sh-t,” Kim stated over the phone. She revealed that about four of them had promised her a pass at the bar exam, but now they are all “full pathological liars” who had lost her trust.
Recall that it took the mogul a pretty long time to get here despite failing the bar exam. Kim has also failed the baby bar exams about four times before finally scoring a win the fifth time.
“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination,” the star revealed in her statement, as she thanked everyone for their support.
She concluded that falling short is not failure, but only a fuel that has set her on the path of success in her next attempt at taking the exam.
Did Kim Kardashian bite more than she can chew with the O.J. Simpson estate’s statement?
